The Blue Ridge Crossroads Small Business Development Center is dedicated to unlocking the economic potential of the Twin Counties through supporting entrepreneurship and small business formation. We work with entrepreneurs of all stripes and in all fields, helping them navigate the difficulties of forming and running a small business.

The centerpiece of our efforts is our innovative business planning assistance method. We take our clients through the business planning process step-by-step, from the opening idea all the way to the acquisition of funding. Along the way we assist clients in deciding what they want from their business, making financial plans and projections, and taking their funding proposal to banks and other lenders. This level of support has allowed us to help 140 clients acquire approximately $40 million in funding over the past 5 years. In the last two years we have led all SBDCs in the state in the amount of funding secured for clients.

We also offer services to those who currently run small businesses. We host frequent seminars on many diverse aspects of operating a small business, including marketing, business planning, e-commerce and customer service. These seminars will help entrepreneurs both novice and veteran navigate the challenges of small business ownership

Here at the Blue Ridge Crossroads Small Business Development Center, the success of your business is our business. Come give us a visit, and together let’s make your business all it can be!
